This article contains the 2017 Caterpillar highlights for the 2017 tentative collective bargaining agreement.

As we saw in 2015 with Detroit 3 agreements, and especially with the Fiat/Chrysler agreement, also supervised by UAW VP Norwood Jewel. The highlights were NOT a good indication of the actual agreement. Therefore, we suggest that the Caterpillar members demand to see the actual tentative agreement, otherwise they too may find themselves voting on items not in the highlights that negatively affect the members and retirees. Specifically, 50% or 100% pension cuts due to falling pension funding levels.

A friend once said; TRUST NO-ONE… That is such an appropriate statement when it comes to recent contracts.

If you STILL don’t get a satisfactory answer… VOTE NO!!!
