The chart below is the U.S. “Velocity of Money”, the downturn in the recent part of the chart actually occurred when the Federal Reserve infused 8 trillion dollars of “digital money” into the US economy by purchasing financial instruments – stocks and bonds. This was largely done to mask the loss of jobs from the U.S. – imagine what the U.S. would have been like without the infusion of 8 Trillion dollars between 2008 and 2015? The Federal Reserve currently has $4.5 Trillion dollars of this still in their inventory. Well… Guess what? You are about to get the chance to actually experience what it would have been like, as the U.S. Federal reserve is going to be “Unwinding” [A cutesy word for “SELLING HELL” the likes of which we have never seen before] the remaining 4.5 trillion dollars worth of inventory of the “financial instruments” they purchased with digital money. Thus you can watch the “Velocity of Money” chart go even further down.

Definition: The velocity of money is the frequency at which one unit of currency is used to purchase domestically- produced goods and services within a given time period. In other words, it is the number of times one dollar is spent to buy goods and services per unit of time. If the velocity of money is increasing, then more transactions are occurring between individuals in an economy.
